For those who enjoy craft beer, Greater Cleveland/Akron will be an easy place to call home. We have a long brewing history. One of our first breweries was on the banks of the Cuyahoga River in 1800. With strong public demand for local craft beers, breweries can be found all over the region.

Tour the Greater Cleveland beer scene by grabbing a ride on a Cleveland Brew Bus courtesy of City Brew Tours (public or private). Or paddle down the Cuyahoga River on the BrewBoat Cleveland.
If you choose to brew your own, there are some great local options to get you started.
Cleveland Brew Shop in Ohio City has ingredients and equipment to brew your own beer at home. They teach classes and host events.

For true connoisseurs, there is a Cleveland Brewery Passport. For the rest of us, here is an extensive list of local breweries to you can visit while you are in town or after you have made Greater Cleveland/Akron your home. Many of these spots offer tours as well.
