Beachwood

Beachwood is a small city in size with big city resources due to its impressive economic tax base. This tax base affords Beachwood some of the finest amenities: excellent public schools and recreational facilities including an aquatic park and beautifully landscaped walking paths.

Community

Beachwood is known as a diverse community with incredible city services, 18% of residents are foreign born. The Art Gallery in the Community Center displays the talent of local artists and is worth visiting. Beachwood also offers a Community Garden to residents and complimentary supplies to registered Block Parties.

Housing

Beachwood has many treelined and side-walked streets. While there are some older streets with homes from the 1920s, the majority of housing stock ranges from 1940s-1960s ranches to newer homes, both contemporary and farmhouse style. There are also dozens of upscale rental buildings complete with gated entrances, pools, and fitness facilities.

Amenities

With easy access to I-271 via two freeway entrances, Beachwood is a premiere shopping destination. Beachwood Place, an upscale shopping mall anchored by Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Dillard’s, attracts more than a million visitors per year. Adjacent to Beachwood Place, is the popular La Place at Beachwood Place shopping center. Legacy Village is a destination lifestyle center with stores such as Arhaus and L.L. Bean, many restaurants, a Hyatt Place Hotel, and a flagship Giant Eagle Supermarket. The Pavilion Shopping Center is home to a few restaurants and some big box retailers, such as Petco and Michaels.

Along with premier shopping, Beachwood is also home to great restaurants and a variety of food trucks at the Beachwood Truck Park.

The Maltz Museum is well-known both regionally and across the country. Devoted to diversity and tolerance, the Maltz Museum’s mission is to build bridges of tolerance and understanding by sharing Jewish heritage through the lens of the American experience.

The center is also known for its annual pool party for dogs. There are additional amenities for dogs – Barkwood is the community’s turf dog park.

The Mandel JCC of Cleveland is a beloved fitness, wellness, and community center for people of all races, religions, and identities and is also known for Preston’s H.O.P.E., an accessible playground park for children with all levels of abilities and disabilities.
