Fairlawn
Fairlawn is located in Summit County and is a suburb five miles west of Downtown Akron. Originally founded in the late 1800s when the Northern Ohio Railroad was built, Fairlawn has since developed along West Market Street. It has mix a of neighborhoods and busy shopping districts and is known for being both family- and retiree-friendly.

The residents of Fairlawn enjoy the amenities of Fairlawn and Akron. Summit Mall and Fairlawn Town Center anchor the city. The housing primarily consists of established neighborhoods, many of which border Fairlawn Country Club’s golf course or Sand Run Metro Park.
Fairlawn’s Park & Recreation offers five city parks, nature education programs, a Friday Night Summer Concert Series, and some youth sports options through Jump Start Sports and Towpath Tennis. Additional youth sports programs are offered through organizations such the Copley-Fairlawn Athletic Association and i9 Sports. Social sports programming for adults is available through Summit Sports & Social.
While Fairlawn does not have a community pool, it does have a popular private swim and tennis club, Fairlawn Swim & Tennis Club. For resident dogs, Fairlawn is located just a few minutes from the BARC Akron Dog Park.
Residents are primarily served by Copley-Fairlawn City Schools, but a small portion of residents are served by Akron Public Schools. There are also private school, parochial, preschool, and daycare options.
Fairlawn residents are served by the Fairlawn-Bath Branch Library, which is part of the Akron-Summit County Library system.
