Lyndhurst
Until recent years, Lyndhurst was a small town with only one commercial street. All that changed with the addition of Legacy Village, a lifestyle shopping complex on the site of a former estate. Upscale boutiques, restaurants, green space and a gazebo have helped create a firm tax base and a space for weekend concerts, dining, and shopping.

When the Cleveland Metroparks acquired the 155-acre Acacia Country Club and reclaimed it for the public, a swatch of green was added to an otherwise very busy commercial district. This park is walkable from Beachwood Place and Legacy Village shopping areas. It has a 1.7-mile loop trail and fishing pond in place of the former golf course fairways. Affordable housing stock ranges from 1950’s and 1960’s small bungalows to 1970’s split levels and colonials to luxurious high rise condominiums and new cluster housing.
