Copley Township is considered a suburb of Akron and sits in a prime location in Summit County with easy access to Akron, Fairlawn, Bath, and Medina. Copley is a mix of quiet, affordable family-friendly neighborhoods, farms, and boutique businesses. It has easy access to shopping pockets on Route 18 and the highways to Cleveland and Canton.

Copley students attend three designated school systems. Copley shares the Copley-Fairlawn City Schools district with the neighboring community of Fairlawn. Copley students also attend Revere Local Schools, Highland Local Schools, and Akron Public Schools.
The community offers amenities and activities for its residents including youth sports, activities at the Copley Bandstand, and the Copley Community Park. The park offers three rentable pavilions, two baseball/softball fields, four soccer fields, two playground areas, a sledding hill, a skating pond, and nine miles of paved walking trails. The park also hosts activities such as Halloween in the Park and Winterfest.
Copley has its own historical society and recently celebrated its 200th birthday in which the community came together for a bicentennial celebration.
