West Akron
Akron has many popular residential neighborhoods collectively known as West Akron. Highland Square neighborhood is the home of live music venues, independent local restaurants and the historic Tangier, an event space recently purchased by Lebron James.
Traveling north on Portage Trail to the Ridgecrest neighborhood you will find stately homes and gorgeous tree-lined streets in addition to plenty of golf courses and country clubs.
In the West Akron area hiking enthusiasts enjoy Sand Run Metropark, Cascade Valley and the Seiberling Nature Realm. Big box shops and Pilgrim Square, home of a variety of independent shops can be found down the road in the Fairlawn Heights neighborhood.
