Mayfield Village

Also known simply as Mayfield, this small suburb is home to a large portion of the Cleveland Metroparks North Chagrin Reservation, including the beautiful Buttermilk Falls. With a strong tax base from the many corporate headquarters and commercial businesses in this small suburb, Mayfield has affordable housing, excellent schools, city services, parks, and recreational programming. All in just four square miles.

This quiet town is often overlooked, but Mayfield Village has been in the top 10 of Cleveland Magazine’s “Rating the Suburbs” annual issue, including capturing the coveted top spot one year. Recently, a local developer purchased a 14-acre (former golf course) property with plans to build two five-story apartment buildings to add diversity to the housing options in this city, which is also home to many companies including Progressive Insurance’s corporate headquarters.
