Little Italy
Little Italy is home to old-school Italian restaurants, bakeries and pizzerias, along with trendy cafes, art galleries and a mix of historic and contemporary housing. Bordering Cleveland’s University Circle, the area was settled by Italian immigrants, many of whom were putting their stonecutting skills to use at the local marble-works, crafting memorials for the nearby cemetery.

The neighborhood has a reputation as a close-knit community, but in more recent years has gone beyond its Italian roots to welcome a diverse community of CWRU students, hospital employees, empty-nesters, and those seeking to be walking distance to great food and Cleveland’s cultural institutions.
