Neighborhoods and Suburbs

Macedonia

First populated in the early 1800s, this city was a stop on the stagecoach route. Located in the Nordonia Hills area of northern Summit County, Macedonia is at the crossroads of four major highways (I-480, I-271, I-80 and State Rte. 8) which creates a driving neighborhood more than a walking one, but its proximity to nearby shopping makes it a draw for some.

There are major parks nearby (Cleveland Metroparks and Cuyahoga Valley National Park), a large family recreation center, easy access to shopping, particularly big box stores, and a movie theater complex. Housing ranges from modest ranches set on wooded acreage to new construction in developments including single-family homes, condos and cluster homes in a wide range of prices.
