Neighborhoods and Suburbs
Westlake
Westlake is a well-established suburb west of the city of Cleveland. It appeals to residents of all ages with beautiful neighborhoods of mostly newer homes dating from the 1970s to new construction. Westlake’s “Downtown” is Crocker Park, a lifestyle center with restaurants, shopping, a hotel, a movie theater, businesses, and residences.

Excellent public schools and city services, beautiful public spaces, state-of-the-art medical facilities, and a strong corporate tax base help Westlake to retain long-time residents and attract newcomers.
Many professional athletes call Westlake home, drawn by its proximity to the airport, housing values, amenities, and schools. It offers cluster homes and apartment living as well as “Chairman’s Rowe,” million-dollar homes grouped off of Hilliard Boulevard. Hotels and long-term stay apartments provide transplants housing during the relocation period.
City Parks offer baseball diamonds, pavilions, trails, wildlife areas, and more. The Westlake Recreation Center has five swimming pools, a fitness center, classes, basketball courts, and many other features.
The Westlake community is served by the Westlake Porter Public Library. The library has programming for every age group, books, movies, and information and technology services.
Annual community events include parades for Memorial Day and the 4th of July, car shows, a concert series, and seasonal festivals like Westlake in Bloom and the Fall Festival and Pumpkin Hunt.
Westlake City Schools are consistently ranked highly in Cuyahoga County.
