Bath Township

Bath Township's rolling hills and a two-acre minimum lot requirement create a bucolic setting for its residents. They feel like the live in the country even though they are just 25-miles south of Cleveland and 15-miles northwest of Akron.

Bath’s Parks Division maintains various community green spaces incuding a community garden, tennis and basketball courts, a baseball field, two nature preserves, and a community park.

The community is served by the Fairlawn-Bath Branch Library of the Akron-Summit County Public Library.

Residents and visitors alike enjoy catching a show at the Western Reserve Playhouse or visiting other township attractions including Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens (a 65-room Tudor-style country house built by Goodyear co-founder Frank Seiberling), Hale Farm and Village (a historical community set in the 1800s), and part of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Every year the Heritage Corridors of Bath Committee and the Township Trustrees host a Barn Social to highlight the beautiful, unique barns in the community. The township also hosts various free, family-friendly nature events that include seasonal themes, face painting, hayrides, and more at the Bath Nature Preserve. The Fire Department/Police Department host a party for residents each year before the start of neighborhood trick or treating.

Bath students attend both the Revere Local Schools and Copley-Fairlawn City Schools, both small and consistently highly-rated. Many students also attend the Old Trail School, an independent co-ed day school, which is situated in the national park.

The township’s most famous current resident is NBA superstar, and Akron native, LeBron James.
